A separate report from BBC's political editor says the mood is moving further towards a deal.
This looks a bit premature to me but with multiple reports highlighting how close it is, I just can't see it falling apart. There's clearly the political will to get to the finish line.
Update:
Now Pike is refuting his own report.
Others continue to sound an optimistic tone.
"It's understood fisheries remains the final outstanding offer. The EU appears to be sticking to the most recent offer of a 25pc transfer of the value of fish caught by EU boats in UK waters to British fishermen."
Update: Now there is a report that ministers are being told a deal has been agreed.
