Smith adds that Cox has suggested that there could be a way to provide the UK with a unilateral way to get out of the backstop (something to do with the Vienna Convention, reckon they want to use that as an example probably).
If you ask me, I highly doubt this would do much to change the opinions of many who voted against the deal but if anything else, it's yet another story that will help to underpin the pound for the time being.
