Canadian officials say they know what to expect
A Canadian government official cited by the newswires said they were expecting Trump to threaten to scrap NAFTA during negotiations.
This is pretty funny stuff. It's basically Canada pre-announcing that its negotiators will roll their eyes whenever Trump threatens something.
For context, yesterday Trump said "I think we'll probably end up terminating NAFTA at some point."
The response from Canada: Go ahead. Either that or officials have been privately told that Trump's rhetoric isn't the official position.
