Today, both the Democrat and Republican parties have finalized a plan to avert a government shutdown at the end of the month. The plan will not include funding for the border wall. That fight will be postponed until after the November elections - unless the Pres. decides to nix the idea. .
Republican leaders, nevertheless, believe that the White House is on board with their approach. Trump has nevertheless threatened to shut down the government in order to get money for his wall.
Meanwhile in other government deficit news today, the deficit for August nearly doubled compared to a year ago (-$214.1B vs -107.7B last year).
