Cummings was the campaign director of Vote Leave in the Brexit referendum

There has been mixed reception to the news with media reports saying that some backbenchers are pleased with the appointment as it would allow for a more aggressive stance by the government. Meanwhile, others are saying that he's a "big gamble" and "hot-headed".

Either way, we've really come full circle as it means the people who delivered the referendum are the ones looking to take the UK out now as we get closer to Brexit D-day.

Update: According to The Spectator, Cummings is said to have told his acquaintances that he will go to No. 10 to get Brexit delivered by 31 October "however hard that is".
