It's PMI day in Europe
Good day, everyone! Hope you're all doing well as we get into European trading later. It's the last day of the trading week and so far things are off to a sluggish start. So, let's see if it'll be any different later on.
0645 GMT - France Q1 final GDP reading
The second reading can be found here. Not expected to produce much - if any - of a reaction given that this is the third take of the numbers.
0700 GMT - France June preliminary manufacturing, services, composite PMI
0730 GMT - Germany June preliminary manufacturing, services, composite PMI
0800 GMT - Eurozone June preliminary manufacturing, services, composite PMI
May figures have been subdued still, so let's see if there will be any improvement in the June figures or will Q2 continue to highlight the same soft patch seen in Q1? May not be major releases in their own right, but put together they build a picture of sentiment towards the Eurozone economy.
1100 GMT - BOE publishes its quarterly bulleting (Q2 release)
General notes surrounding the economy and monetary policy. Not expected to have much that we don't already know.
Apart from that, it's a quiet calendar in Europe but we also still have the OPEC members' meeting to come in Vienna, Austria as well today. A output increase of 1 million bpd appears to be the expected conclusion now so let's see how they will go ahead to implement that and what the communique will say.
I wish you all the best of days ahead, and as always good luck with your trading!
