USD/TRY down to 6.17 levels now
The lira is closing in on 3% gains against the dollar and that is helping to ease worries in Europe as we begin the day. The dollar is also a little lower from the start of trading as a result of that.
Chinese stocks were very much the outlier today despite majority of Asian stocks trading lower, as they were routed pretty badly. The Shanghai Composite closes the day down 2.1%.
