However, it comes with a major caveat as per usual with all Monday counts; being that it is always lower due to the 'weekend effect' i.e. lesser testing over the weekend.
That said, the figure is still on the lower end of the scale compared to recent figures:
Meanwhile, another 214 deaths were reported as well today. Total active cases across the country sits at ~302,300, reflecting some signs of improvement, while total deaths have increased to 46,633 persons as of the latest update.
In terms of healthcare capacity, there were 4,971 (-44) virus patients requiring intensive care as of yesterday with there being 4,955 (18%) intensive care units still available.
