German consumer morale dips further going into September, as rising price pressures and COVID-19 concerns weigh on sentiment. GfK notes that:
"Prices have been rising rapidly since the middle of this year. This has a dampening effect on the consumer mood."
Adding that consumer expectations and propensity to spend have also been impacted by the rise in virus cases across the country.
