Hu Xijin on trade talks
Once China and the US reach a deal, China will fulfill its commitments. The US shouldn't set unfair conditions to prevent China breaking promises. Beijing will certainly reject those conditions.
The US wants the ability to unilaterally impose tariffs on China if it feels China has broken a pledge or cheated. Beijing has long rejected that and all signs point to them outright rejecting it as a starting point in any talks.
