We're into the heart of hurricane season
Mid-August to late-October is the peak of US hurricane season. It's been quiet for the past month but it could be starting to pick up.
There will be a weekend storm in Florida but the system to watch is way out in the mid-Atlantic. The system is still disorganized but the NHC says there is a 40% chance of tropical cycle formation in the next 48 hours.
From there the range of possibilities is endless.
