New Zealand:
- Seek, the job search business, said employment advertisements rose 13 per cent last month compared to January 2013
- About 24,000 jobs were advertised nationally, up from less than 21,000 last January
This compares to Statistics New Zealand figures:
- said this month the labour market continued to grow
- unemployment fell to 6 per cent
- There were 24,000 more people employed in the December 2013 quarter, following an additional 28,000 in the September quarter
