Kyodo reporting (via Reuters ) citing an unnamed government source
For background on what this is all about, earlier post here:
Japan political issue reignites - yen on the rise again
Latest:
Japan's Finance Ministry admits a total of 14 Moritomo documents were forged
- admits it forged the documents
- forgery occurred around February 2017
- First Lady Akie Abe's name was reportedly in the original Finance Ministry documents, but was removed in the forgery
What Abe obviously needs to do is to put tariffs on something (rice from Australia?), meet with North Korea, or make new "Make Japan Great Again" hats.
Something like that. the playbook is pretty clear on this.
