The virus situation in Japan continues to reflect a rather tense situation for the time being, with officials now stating that they will only hospitalise virus patients who are seriously ill and those at risk of becoming so.

In other cases, patients will be asked to isolate at home. That is typically a sign that the spread of infections are overwhelming, as seen with most other countries who have experienced such a situation when dealing with the virus in general.
