Comments by Japan's foreign minister Taro Kono in an interview with Reuters
- US agrees North Korea should abolish medium-to-short-range missiles as well as ICBMs
- US tariffs on Japanese steel exports could hurt US auto industry competitiveness
- Economic issues with US to be deal with in an "economic dialogue" between Pence and Aso
Kono also asks for the US to stick to WTO rulings, but we all know that's not going to happen. His comments here are a bit timely as Abe is set to meet with Trump next month, prior to Trump's "still up in the air" meeting with Kim Jong Un.
Japan likely worried that their concerns are not going to be brought up in the meeting. In case you missed out, North Korea has been launching test missiles over Japanese waters for the most part of last year.
