Kuroda's current term is due on 8 April

Bloomberg's latest survey on 15-17 January shows that economists are favouring Kuroda more than ever among other likely nominees for the BOJ governor post.
Kuroda took office as BOJ governor in April 2013, and by the look of things is likely to continue for a second term as Japanese PM Abe seeks to retain the balance struck so far with the government and the central bank - and Abe is not likely to take any risks in light of that.
Bloomberg has more on the other candidates as well here.
