Alibaba, Alphabet (Google), Amazon, and Apple are due to release their earnings report later in the day
Equities have fared rather well today, and futures in Europe also point towards a bright start to the cash equity market that is to open later. But this is something to look out for, and these major tech companies could just be what determines the market sentiment by the end of trading today / start of trading tomorrow.
1200 GMT - Alibaba Q3 earnings
2100 GMT - Alphabet Q4 earnings
2100 GMT - Amazon Q4 earnings
2130 GMT - Apple Q1 earnings
While the latter three are reporting their earnings post-market, it's still important to take note for general market sentiment overall. China's stocks have fared poorly today, and if major tech companies also falter due to poor earnings, that's not a good combination for equities in general.
And that could likely feed into the overall sentiment across all markets.
