According to a report by The Telegraph
The report is stating that there is now a majority of UK PM May's own Cabinet that is supporting a move towards a Canada-style trade deal with the EU. This comes after the disappointment faced by May during her trip to Salzburg last week - which continues to highlight that the two parties are far away from striking any semblance of a deal, especially when it comes to finding common ground on the Irish backstop/border issue.
A Canada-style agreement will be a much looser free trade deal than the Chequers proposals but is likely one that will exclude services at the end of the day. But there will ultimately still be the issue of the Irish border and in this agreement it would mean border controls and possibly Northern Ireland staying in the EU bloc, something which diverges from Chequers.
