May and Corbyn met today

May and Corbyn met today after yesterday's Brexit amendments showed majorities for an 'alternative arrangement' to the Brexit backstop and a soft majority against a no-deal Brexit.

A Labour spokesman was diplomatic in describing the meeting as a useful exchange of views. They will meet again as well, which is a sign of progress.

Corbyn is the wild card here. He's in a tough spot because I'm sure he'd rather move on from Brexit and focus on domestic issues if he were to win the next election. At the same time, he's got the Conservatives in a bind so he can force them to extend Article 50 and spark a bit of a civil war. My guess is that's what he does but there's always a chance he puts the country above politics... oh who am I kidding, no one does that.
