McConnell plays down rift
McConnell says he and his team are in regular contact with Trump about shared goals. The Senate majority leader said he and the President are committed to advancing a shared agenda and "anyone who suggests otherwise is clearly not part of the conversation."
I'm firmly in the camp that Trump's public comments -- especially his comments at rallies -- shouldn't be taken as a sign of anything. The Trump talk and the Trump action are two very different things. He will sign whatever Congress puts in front of him.
