Will it stall negotiations?
Mexico chief negotiator Kenneth Smith is also speaking and says:
- Mexico won't accept anything that restricts agricultural trade
- They won't accept any automatic death clause in NAFTA (sunset clause)
- Around 10 NAFTA chapters at 90% advance; 9 more closed
Anything that tells Trump that they will not do something, tends to be a motivation for him to get it anyway.
So the hope from negotiations with Mexico coming to an end, might be hitting a little snag. There is a little more weakness in the MXN. It tests the broken low from last week at 18.4965.
