More comments by BOJ's governor Kuroda
- BOJ remains committed to achieving price stability
- There is a gap between market and FOMC on future of US rates
- Can't make definitive comments on US monetary policy
- Will continue easing even if govt declares deflation has ended
- BOJ needs to achieve 2% price target
Some final comments by Kuroda as his presser comes to an end. He refuses to comment on US policy but then says there is a gap between what the market thinks and what the FOMC thinks on interest rates. Typical central banker right there.
I believe his presser has ended - nothing more for now from Kuroda. USD/JPY slightly higher on the day - now at 113.52 - as the dollar holds firm as we head into the European session.
