Fed's Kaplan says:

  • Emphasizes gradual, patient, careful removal of accommodation in part because 10 year yield is so low.
  • Does not expect productivity to bounce back unless US beefs up working training

The Fed does not want to spook the longer end of the yield curve, despite their desire to take out accommodation.
