More on the big population shift in China likely to boost the property market there

Chinese authorities expect the change will encourage around 100 million people to move to urban areas

I posted on it yesterday:

• China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the 'state planner' is to relax residency curbs in some cities.

Bloomberg have a bit more posted now:

• The move may also help boost housing demand in smaller cities, underpinning property prices.
• Cities with an urban population of between 1 million to 3 million should scrap the residency registration system -- known as hukou -- this year, the National Development and Reform Commission said Monday.
• Cities with a population of 3 million to 5 million should substantially ease residency requirements
