Business Confidence improves (sheesh) to -42.4
- prior -53.5 (an 11 year low that was)
Activity Outlook declines to -3.5
- prior -1.8
ANZ comment:
- Business Outlook survey was a mixed bag in October
- business confidence up 12
- but own activity slipping 2 points
- Other activity and inflation indicators were mixed
- Bit too soon to say things are bottoming out, but it's a start.
