Tokyo's main index closes the day lower as Asian stocks take a hit

A torrid day for equities in general as the rout in the bond market spreads over to stocks. I talked a bit more on the possibility on why that is bad for equities here, and either this correction will fade and equity investors will drive stocks to record highs again or we are going to see a likely risk off sentiment building just around the corner.
It's only the first day, so let's not get too carried away. In other Asian markets, the Hang Seng is down 1.10% now while Shanghai Composite and CSI 300 indices are down 0.78% and 0.82% respectively.
