Exit polls show May losing majority

It's another election shock in the offering.

Theresa May took a calculated gamble in calling an election while holding 330 seats. She hoped to expand her majority and early polls showed her adding another 100 seats.

But frustration with her campaign grew and now the first exit polls show her losing seats and losing a majority. The polls shows her Conservative party down to 314 seats. That's still the most but will mean she needs a coalition partner to govern.

This will severely hamper May in Brexit negotiations and may cost her the Conservative leadership.

Yet another shocker.

The kneejerk reaction is to say this is just an exit poll but since 2000, this exit poll hasn't missed by more than 20 seats.
