A flurry of bids sees the sterling move higher to top the major bloc
I'm not seeing any news to have caused the move, but it looks like a bit of dollar weakness kicked in as EUR/USD touches a session high of 1.2434 while GBP/USD rockets from 1.4190 to a high of 1.4250.
Other major currencies are less impacted, but they're mostly off the lows against the greenback on the day as well. Aussie and yen sentiment remains weak, so there's not much movement there but other pairs are seeing a bit of a claw back with sterling and euro the main beneficiaries so far.
