NZD/USD was the top performer this week

The New Zealand dollar tumbled to a two year low on Monday but followed that with a four-day rally. It made NZD/USD the best-performing trade this week, with a 0.98% gain.

Overall, it felt like a volatile week but the overall changes were modest.

The New Zealand dollar is an interesting case though. On Monday, it looked to be continuing to break down as it touched the two-year low but then bounced.

Still, in a wider look, we see that the recovery this week still doesn't do much to change the overall picture. It's well-inside the drop from last week and with the trade war worsening, there isn't much to be optimistic about.
