NBC says Trump could target the man investigating him
This would really be something:
President Donald Trump has been talking to his friends about possibly asking Attorney General Jeff Sessions to prosecute Robert Mueller, the special counsel overseeing the Russia probe, and his team, according to an NBC report.
The report says it's his 'plan B' if the case begins to go against him and part of a continuing strategy to discredit the investigation.
Trump is even talking to friends about the possibility of asking Attorney General Jeff Sessions to consider prosecuting Mueller and his team.
"Here's how it would work: 'We're sorry, Mr. Mueller, you won't be able to run the federal grand jury today because he has to go testify to another federal grand jury,'" said one Trump adviser.
The same report says Trump no longer believes Paul Manafort could flip against him.
