Ukraine says they want the stand offs in Luhansk, Donetsk and Kharkiv must be resolved within the next two days. Ukrainian interior minister Arsen Avakov says that there are two options, political settlement through negotiations and the use of force and they are ready for both options. The Luhansk separatists, who took over buildings yesterday, had been armed with explosives and were holding 60 people, but allowed them to leave overnight.
The news has been out a while but I’ve only just seen it. Yet again we have the possibility of things turning ugly and that’ll be another reason why the EUR/CHF has been knocked down. If bullets start flying get ready for another bout of markets running to safety.
