US Markit Manufacturing Sept PMI 53.0 vs 53.0 estimate

Services PMI 55.1 vs 55.7 estimate

The US Markit PMI data came out in aggregate a little weaker than expectations:

• Manufacturing came in on the screws at 53.0 vs 53.0 estimate. That was a bit higher than last months 52.8
• Service PMI came in at 55.1 which was weaker than the 55.7 estimate. Last month was at 56.0
• The composite index was also lower at 54.6 vs 55.3 last month.
• Manufacturing employment 54.3 vs 53.1. Highest since Dec 2016
