The latest US deficit figures
- Last May was -$146.8B
- April was +160.3B
- Year-to-date deficit $739B vs $532B a year ago
- Outlays $440B vs a year ago at $364B
- Receipts $232B vs $217B a year ago
What ever happened to all those deficit hawks? The CBO projection this year is $900B and rising to $1 trillion beginning in 2022 and hitting $1.3 trillion in 2029. I'll take the 'over'.
