US Q2 current account balance data

  • The deficit in Q1 was -$121.7B revised from -$124.1B prior
  • Current account deficit is 2% of GDP vs 2.4% in Q1. This matches the smallest since 3Q of 2014
  • goods and services deficit is -$133.812 versus -$153.98
  • primary income $60.845 vs $61.175 prior

The headline and revisions were bit better than expected. The dollar is little changed on the back of the data (and the mixed housing data)
