USD/CAD jumped earlier on a report from Bloomberg that US and Canada were unlikely to make a deal this week unless there was major movement.
The sentiment in Canada is that the end-of-month deadline isn't really a deadline. I don't think Canada cares if the old Mexican or new Mexican President has to sign it, especially given the feeling that Mexico stabbed Canada in the back.
