These the PMIs from surveys by IHS Markit. In their report on the South Korean result analysts note that

  • 51.9 is the highest in 3 months
  • the manufacturing PMI has been in expansion for 15 months in a row
  • output did fall during December i supply chain disruptions and chip shortages cited as reasons
  • new orders were higher
  • export orders fell (first time since September 2020)
