Stats NZ on the y/y drop, not a good result at all:
- “The number of homes consented in 2023 was down from 49,538 in 2022, which was the highest number in a calendar year since records began”
Longer term view:
NZD/USD is nudging to new highs compared with the overnight session. The USD was weak across the board. Risk caught a bid and bounced back strongly from the FOMC day selloff.
