USD is weaker

As the North American session begins, the CHF is the strongest, while the AUD is the weakest. The USD is mostly lower with declines vs all the major currencies with the exception of the AUD.

The EURUSD has the largest range vs the USD and trades near the high for the day. The GBPUSD and USDJPY are more mixed and trading near unchanged levels. The USDCHF is getting hit and trades at it's lows. It has spent most of the day moving lower. Yesterday, the USDCHF fell below its 100 day MA (and closed below) for the first time since April 11.

In other markets:

  • Spot gold is up $2.58 at $1198.84. It reached above $1200 at $1200.80 but backed off
  • Crude oil is up $1.20 or 1.79% at $67.00

In the US pre-market, stocks are lower:

  • Dow implied down -41 points
  • Nasdaq down -13 points
  • S&P down -7 points
